The person behind the policies

Dmitri Altum Navi

With over 10 years in the industry, I've built a career at the intersection of identity and security. I'm a Corporate Security Identity Engineer — I design the systems that control who has access to what, and I make sure those systems are airtight.

I've worked across the full spectrum — from a 20-person startup to Apple — and each environment reinforced the same lesson: identity is the new perimeter. Get access controls wrong and nothing else in your security stack matters. My job is making sure they're right.

My approach is code-first and security-first. I write Python, build Terraform modules for identity infrastructure, design authentication policies, and build security automation — all aimed at reducing attack surface and eliminating human error in critical workflows like offboarding, access reviews, and incident response.

I'm also a believer in community. I've presented at MacAdmins Conference at Penn State and am an active contributor in the MacAdmins Slack community. Sharing knowledge openly makes the entire industry more secure.
